MINISTERIAL STUDIES DIPLOMA
Upon completion of the Ministerial Studies Diploma (which includes all three levels of study), the student will have met the academic requirements of the U.S. General Council of the Assemblies of God. Successful completion of the Ministerial Studies Program should prepare the student for credentialing interviews, and tests. At the end of this three-year program, the student will have mastered the basic Bib le content (Old and New Testament), theological principles, and practical ministry skills for service in a church or leadership position.
- A three-year study program which requires the completion of 25 courses.
- The program is broken into “Eight-Study-Units”(A,B,C,D,E,F,G,H).
**Each Unitconsists of three courses. - After the successful completion of “Eight-Study-Units” the student will receive the Ministerial Studies Diploma.
INDIVIDUAL MINISTRY TRACKS
Students who do not wish to pursue the Ministerial Studies Diploma may pursue an individual ministry track (Level I Certified, Level II Licensed, Level III Ordained).
1. Level I (Certified): Upon completion of the Level One Ministerial Certificate, students will have received a working knowledge of biblical study methods, studied several New Testament books, and gained basic ministry skills. A student should possess the academic requirements to apply for Certified Minister status in the U.S. General Council of the Assemblies of God.
2. Level II (Licensed): Upon completion of Level Two Ministerial Certificate, a student should have gained a mastery of specific Bible content, systematic theology, and developed valuable ministry skills. A student should possess the academic requirements to apply for Licensed Minister status in the U.S. General Council of the Assemblies of God.
3. Level III (Ordained): Upon completion of Level Three Ministerial Certificate, a student should have gained mastery of several books of the Bible, learned advanced theological concepts, and have developed administrative skills required for various ministerial roles. A student should possess the academic requirements to apply for Ordained Minister status in the U.S. General Council of the Assemblies of God (Students should be aware that in order to apply for Ordained Minister status, they must have held a credential at the Licensed level for a minimum of 2 years and have served full-time in a ministry role).
